Happy Halloween

Callie - Pocahontas Kade - Vampire Dawson - Rabbit Dallin -Chicken

I am so proud of Kevin for dressing up. We usually don't get into the spirit of Halloween. He was only able to wear the pumpkin for a couple of houses and then it got too heavy.

Halloween was fun. Kade went trick-or-treating with his best friend Luke and his dad. Becca came up to see the kids so she took the twins home after a couple of houses. They didn't want to hold their bags and didn't really know what was going on. Kevin got distracted talking to our neighbor. So Callie and I went trick-or-treating with our friends the Marinos.
Last night Kevin paid the kids money for their bags of candy. They got to pick 10 of their favorite treats and the rest is disappearing.

Apples, Apples, Apples

We got a lot of apples off our trees this year. We didn't spray our trees so most of the apples had worms. They were still so good once you cut the bad parts out. We dried a bunch of apples for a healthy snack. Dallin and Dawson loved eating the apples that had fallen from the tree. Every time they go outside they look for apples to eat. We had a hard time keeping rotten apples out of their hands.
They are in nursery now. I can't believe how fast they are growing. I love this age even though it is a really hard age. They are trying to say words and their little personalities show a lot more at this age.
Dawson loves to wrestle! When Dallin is on the floor Dawson tackles him. If Dallin starts to cry Dawson starts smacking him on the head. We are trying to teach him to be soft and nice. He loves his brother and loves to have fun. He is very sweet and loves to give hugs and kisses.
Dallin is very sweet and social. He loves to tell people "hi" and "bye". He is learning how to run away from me which is actually really funny to watch. He is experimenting with words. He can say "Mama" "Dada" "DawDaw"(Dawson) he won't try to say Kade or Callie yet. He surprises us everyday with new words.
Our house is usually a mess now except when they are napping. Too bad Kevin is at work when they are napping. We love having these boys. They are so fun to watch and make life exciting.

Hobble Creek Canyon

Kevin, Kade, Callie, Dallin, Dawson, Nate, and Natalie (Kevin's brother and sister)

We enjoyed a break from General Conference up the canyon. The trees were beautiful and Kade got to do some fishing.

Some Random Pictures

Dallin and Dawson love books! Their favorite spot to read is on the fireplace.

I'm teaching the twins how to eat with a spoon and fork. Here they are practicing with chocolate pudding.

I went in Callie's room the other night to make sure she was tucked in. No wonder her legs hurt in the middle of the night. She has to sleep with my cell phone because Kevin and I are too tired to get out of bed so we just call her. When she has a bad dream she just looks at the picture on the screen and she is able to go back to sleep.

Sleeping Out

We haven't done too much camping this summer. Kevin and I don't think it would be very much fun with the twins. So the kids and Kevin have slept outside a few times this year. About a week ago they slept out under the stars. I opted to sleep inside with the twins. I got up that morning and saw how cute they were I had to take a picture. The kids slept great even though it was windy and sprinkled a couple of times during the night.

First Day of School

Kade's first day of first grade. We were running late so I was lucky to remember to get a quick picture. We were actually running late the first week. Kade is not a morning person and he likes staying up late. He wakes up happy he just needs his 12 hours or it is hard to get him out of bed. He got sick of sharing a room with the twins so we had to move him downstairs. Dallin woke him up one morning by hitting him in the head with a metal toy gun. He loves his new room and his new queen sized bed.
Callie's first day of preschool. I had to redo her hair three times because she didn't approve. She likes going to school. She keeps telling me that she is shy. She is making more and more friends there and I can tell everyday she is liking it a little bit more. Her preschool has fifteen kids and her teacher is great. This will be a great transition for Callie into kindergarten. I absolutely love having three hours, three days a week. I have been walking with the twins for three miles up by the Bountiful Temple. Yeah for preschool!

Davis County Fair

I took all of the kids to the Davis County Fair on the spur of the moment. It was fun to get out. Dawson is on the left and Dallin on the right. They loved crawling in and out of these cars. They played in the cars while Kade and Callie waited in line for a clown to make them balloons. Kade asked for a balloon sword and Callie a puppy.

Here is the pig that holds the world record. It weighs 1200 pounds. You had to pay 50 cents to see the pig and Kade was determined to see it so thankfully I had $1.50 in my wallet. They also had the smallest horse in the world but I didn't have any more change so we didn't get a picture of the horse. Kade was disappointed about not seeing the horse but more disappointed he didn't get a helicopter ride. I explained to him that his dad didn't get to ride in a helicopter until he was thirty so he needs to be a little more patient.

Kade and Callie loved seeing all of the animals. I was impressed that they weren't afraid of the really big cows. They went right up to them and would pet their noses.
